TCP flowline for gas production, offshore Egypt

In 2025, Strohm was awarded a contract to supply a 2000m Thermoplastic Composite Pipe (TCP) flowline for a gas production project offshore Egypt. The carbon fibre and PA12 polymer TCP flowline has a design pressure of 5,000psi and it is qualified to DNV-ST-F119 standard. It will be installed by Oceaneering International at water depths of almost 600m, replacing an existing steel flowline.

Under this contract, Strohm will deliver a 6” ID TCP flowline with a design pressure of 345 bar, engineered to meet the operational requirements of offshore gas production.

Key system characteristics

  • Gas production TCP flowline for offshore Egypt application
  • Non-corrosive, lightweight, and flexible for efficient installation
  • Spoolable solution enabling reduced installation time and complexity
