We are pleased to celebrate our recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with State Power Investment Corporation of China (SPIC) as we look to support the sector’s drive towards netzero with a safe and reliable solution for transporting green hydrogen. We will develop solutions for offshore hydrogen generation as well as transportation, where the use of TCP provides a superior solution in terms of safety, cost and carbon footprint.
Our world-leading Thermoplastic Composite Pipe technology is ideal for hydrogen applications as it doesn’t corrode and it has a long-life span with zero maintenance requirements.
SPIC is a leader in offshore wind, in solar, and has great ambitions in offshore hydrogen as well. They have the resources to develop solutions quickly and may be one of the first to generate hydrogen offshore. We are delighted to have the ability to support this initiative. By working together on the development of these emerging, sustainable energy industries, the MoU with state-owned SPIC will be a global collaboration, showcasing our commitment to making green hydrogen production viable and available around the world.
The signing of this MoU and project is very timely as this year is also the 50 years anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and The Netherlands at ambassadorial level. The agreement that was signed is a good example of how the cooperation between these two countries can lead to concrete results.
