In this role, you are the engine behind a scalable, data-driven and employee-centric People Operations function. You will build and continuously improve the way we support our people – from pre-boarding to payroll and from systems to insights. You act as a first point of contact for employees, managers and external partners regarding contracts, absence, leave and working hours.
As our Senior People Operations Specialist you will be part of the People & Culture team consisting of: People & Culture Director, HR Business Partners (2x), People Operations Specialist and a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist. We offer this role for 32-40 hours.
In this role, you will:
- Responsible for the full HR administration, including onboarding, internal changes and offboarding, absence management, invoice processing, personnel changes in Cobra, and support with training requests and budget monitoring.
- You are a hands-on administrative expert responsible for handling and resolving daily requests.
- Build and continuously improve a scalable People Operations service model, including clear SLAs, high-quality service delivery and a strong end-to-end employee experience.
- Drive digital self-service for employees and managers and lead the rollout and optimization of our HR system (Personio) and related integrations.
- Continuously improve HR processes, data quality, reporting and People Analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
- Own accurate and compliant payroll operations (NL, BR and US) in close collaboration with external providers and Finance.
- Manage smooth and compliant pre-onboarding (contracts, legal and visa processes) and safeguard GDPR compliance across all people processes.
- Own and further develop our rewards framework, including salary structures and job architecture.

Skills:
- Experience in automating and improving HR workflows and processes.
- Strong data skills, including building reliable reports and strategic HR dashboards.
- Proven experience supporting a fast-growing organisation (scaling from ~100 to 5,000 employees).
- Hands-on experience with an HR ticketing system (case handling, optimisation and continuous improvement).
- Solid experience with an HRIS (Personio or a similar system).
- Practical payroll knowledge: experience with Cobra and/or SD Worx is a strong plus.
- Fluent in English and Dutch.
- Good knowledge of Dutch labor law.
